For patients who received the 1st H1N1 vaccination at an outside (non-Blue Fish) clinic we are happy to queue you with our other patients for the 2nd H1N1 vaccination. Remember that a second H1N1 vaccination is necessary for any child who is 6 months to 9 years of age and should be given 28 days after the first vaccine was given. Children 10 years and older only need one H1N1 vaccine this season. Simply send an email to denny@bluefishmd.com with the below information and you will be contacted on when to return for your second vaccination. Please put the phrase “SECOND H1N1 Vaccine needed” in the subject line.
1. Your child(ren)’s name
2. Your child(ren)’s date of birth
3. What date you received the vaccine
4. Whether you received the injection or intranasal vaccine
5. If you have a known history of asthma and have used asthma meds in the past year
