Dr. Jung

Dr. Jung was born in Passaic, New Jersey. His family is originally from South Korea. He attended Memorial High School here in Houston and graduated from Rice University in 1995, where he majored in Biology. He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1999 and completed his pediatric residency training at Baylor College of Medicine-affiliated hospitals (including Ben Taub General Hospital and Texas Children’s Hospital) in 2002. In 2002 Dr. Jung became board certified in pediatrics and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Jung originally started private practice in partnership with his father in the summer of 2002. After his father’s retirement in 2004, Dr. Pielop joined Dr. Jung to begin Blue Fish Pediatrics.

He married his wife Christine in November of 2000. They have one precious daughter Ellie who was born in March of 2004 and two precious sons: Matthew, who was born in April of 2006, and Michael, who was born in February of 2008. He is active at New Life Fellowship Baptist Church, where he leads the drama team and helps teach the youth group. In his free time, he enjoys playing flag football, basketball, softball, fantasy baseball, and writing dramas.
