About Blue Fish : Dr. Jill Eddings

Dr. Eddings

Dr. Jill Eddings was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, but spent most of her childhood in Houston. She attended Kingwood High School and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1999, where she majored in Biomedical Science and minored in Psychology. She graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 2004 and completed her residency training at Baylor College of Medicine-affiliated hospitals (including Texas Children’s Hospital and Ben Taub General Hospital) in 2007. Dr. Eddings became board certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2007. She then worked for Texas Children’s from 2007-08 until joining Bluefish Pediatrics in 2008.

Dr. Eddings met her husband at Texas A&M in 1997 and was married in August of 1999. She and her husband, Mark, have two wild and rambunctious boys, Andrew, born in 2003 and Carter, born in 2006 and one beautiful daughter, Emily, born in 2009. Her children are her greatest joy. She truly feels called to helping children and their families, enabling her to joyfully and freely dedicate time to the care of children other than her own.
While she loves all ages, she has a special passion and interest in helping first-time parents, mothers of multiples, preschoolers, and adolescents. She also has a heart for adoption and enjoys supporting adoptive parents in their adjustment to parenthood. During residency, she was chosen to receive the Outstanding Resident of the Year Award for Adolescent Medicine in 2005-06. She believes in developing real and honest relationships with children (especially adolescents) and their families.

Dr. Eddings currently attends Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoys scrap-booking, projects around the house, playing piano, musical theater, scuba-diving, and traveling. Most of all, she enjoys chasing and loving on her kids!
